Viva La Vida

Posted by jdellis on July 18, 2008

Coldplay’s new CD is pretty good.  I’m not like a crazy fanatic or anything but I picked it up yesterday at lunch.

My favorite song is actually the lead track, Life in Technicolor.  It’s instrumental, rich in sound and it’s building, driving melody resonates within me.  This is the kind of music I like to listen to.  Words can simply mess up a song sometimes.

Other than that, I give the entire CD eight thumbs up out of ten.

Skillet

Posted by jdellis on January 11, 2008

I listen to various types of music.  Right now I have Comatose by Skillet in the CD player of my truck.  It’s definitely the harder end of the spectrum for Christian music but I love it.  People probably get a kick out of watching me rock out in the truck.  The CD was a Christmas present to Julie, but I’ve managed to ‘borrow’ it for a while.

They’re playing the Sommet Center in Nashville this March.  We just might have to go.

Give Until There’s Nothing Left

Posted by jdellis on December 18, 2007

This is one of my favorite songs on the radio right now.  It’s by Relient K, a favorite band of mine as well.  I’ve heard it for some time but just focused on the lyrics here recently.  It’s got a pretty cool message.  Check the lyrics out here.  Listen to the music here.

Just wanted to share that today.  Especially in this season, be a giver.
